All services are tailored to each study’s specific study requirements and developed in close collaboration between the sponsor and ATIC’s scientifically engaged management team.

The services below describe ATICs core study support services, including but not limited to:

Trial endorsement: ATIC endorsement is granted following a scientific review undertaken by our Steering Committee of more than 20 leading clinicians and researchers in type 1 diabetes. Each proposal is evaluated against the ATIC Clinical Trial Prioritisation Framework, and investigators receive structured feedback, including specific recommendations.

This endorsement process ensures that clinical trial resources across Australia are directed toward high-quality studies with the greatest potential to benefit the type 1 diabetes community.

Consulting and advisory: ATIC offers pre-and post-trial endorsement consulting, including on protocol design and research materials, such as PICFs, SOPs and patient-facing documents. Pre-clinical consulting and validation are available through Effica Biolabs

Community Engagement Panel input, including early community feedback on trial and research proposals, and review of participant-facing materials.

Participant recruitment services for endorsed trials, including advertising, communications, and full enquiry triage and management.

Site feasibility and selection support for endorsed trials, including preliminary feasibility assessments from extended ATIC member sites and consideration of current clinical trial activity across Australia.

Biobanking of participant samples and storage according to individual protocol requirements at ISO 20387 accredited SVI/NRL biobank.

On-trial patient sample analysis including on fresh or frozen trial samples for secondary or tertiary/exploratory endpoint analysis through Effica Biolabs.
